A Maori girl aged 11 to 15 is needed to play a role in a film directed by Taika Waititi.

Piki Films are seeking a Maori girl, aged 11 to 15, to play a support role in a new film directed by Taika Waititi.

The character is outgoing with a strong sense of humour and confidence. A country kid, she's independent, can handle herself in the bush, and is an experienced horse-rider. She can also sing and play guitar.

There will be rehearsals and horse riding lessons, if required, prior to shooting. The chosen girl must be available for about five to seven days from May 11 to June 15 for filming around the North Island.

To enter, record a video of yourself telling a joke and strumming on the guitar - preferably at the same time. Upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox, and send the link on the form at www.pikifilms.com/casting/.

Make the settings private if you don't want everyone to see it. The preference is for the actor to be not much higher than 1.2m.
