A man is trapped after rolling his car down a bank near Taupo.
A police spokeswoman said police had arrived at the scene on Tutukau Rd off State Highway 1 but were having difficulty accessing the car.
Another police media spokeswoman said the man was reported to have serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit was on the scene and it did not look like they had got the person out of the car yet, she said.
She said fire was on the scene and helping with that.
