Emergency services are at the scene of a two-car crash on State Highway 41, near Turangi.

A police spokeswoman said one person had serious injuries.

SH41 OMORI - CRASH - 4.25PM
A section of SH41 is down to one lane due to a crash near Pukawa Road in Omori. Please note a section of SH4 is CLOSED between SH41/SH47 due to a separate serious crash. Expect delays when using SH41 or SH47 in the National Park & Turangi area. ^MF pic.twitter.com/enU858nFsv

A St John spokeswoman said the other person was moderately injured and had been taken to Taumarunui Hospital.

SH41 is down to one lane near the intersection with Pukawa Rd, Omori.

The crash happened about 2.30pm.
