One person injured in helicopter crash near Taupō

A helicopter has crashed in Kinloch, injuring one of its two passengers.

A police media spokeswoman said the crash happened on Whangamata Rd about 3.30pm.

"Initial reports indicate two people were on board, and one person has sustained moderate injuries."

The Civil Aviation Authority has been notified.
