Police have confirmed one person has died after a crash on State Highway 35 in the Opotiki district yesterday.
A ute was involved in the single-vehicle crash about 1.50pm.
The driver received medical attention but died at the scene.
The road was down to one lane for several hours but was cleared late yesterday afternoon.
