Rotorua Olympic rower Julia Edward knows all about pulling her own weight, especially when it comes to rowing. Edward returned home to help her old school fund raise for the secondary school rowing champs next year.
The Rotorua Girls' High School rowing team took turns rowing an indoor rowing machine
for 12 straight hours on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Rotorua.
They rowed 146.2 km and raised $300 on the day, plus individual sponsorships. The Maadi National Secondary Schools Championships will be held in Twizel in March.
