Easter weekend means changes to this Friday's rubbish and recycling collections.

Rotorua Lakes Council said areas that normally have their rubbish and recycling collected on a Friday will now have it collected this Saturday March 31 instead.

These areas are included Whakarewarewa, Te Ngae, Ngapuna, Lynmore, Owhata, Holdens/Hannahs Bay, Rotokawa, and Brunswick.

The change of day is for this weekend only.

People in these areas of Rotorua are encouraged to tell their friends and neighbours.
