No charges will be laid following a police investigation into a fatal fire at a Rotorua warehouse party.
Mihinui Tamiana, 14, was killed in the Riri St fire, which happened in June.
Rotorua police have completed their investigation and following consultation with Police Legal Services no one will face anycharges in relation to the fire and Miss Tamiana's death.
The case has now been referred to the Coroner's office for inquest.
Miss Tamiana was at a party at a warehouse with a number of youths who were staying in the building overnight.
Earlier in the night police had been called to the warehouse due to disorder, Detective Sergeant John Wilson said.
"This ended with the party being shut down. During the early stages of the investigation information was received that a group of teens had been seen in the building shortly before the fire started, with the implication being that they had been involved in starting the fire.
"An exhaustive enquiry was conducted in an effort to establish if the fire had been deliberately lit."
