Fare Thee Well, made up of Rotorua siblings Jared, 22, Laura-Lee, 20 and Bethany Stevenson, 18, this week made it through to the live shows of The X Factor New Zealand.

What is the most played, the oldest, and the most embarrassing song on your iPod?
Bethany: Most played - Saturn
by Sleeping at Last. Oldest - Rudy by Supertramp. Most embarrassing - Our Song by Taylor Swift.

Jared: The most played is Papercut by Linkin Park. The oldest would be Crime of the Century by Supertramp. The most embarrassing would have to be Complicated by Avril Lavigne (she's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine).

Laura-Lee: From Yesterday by 30 Seconds To Mars is my most played. The oldest song would have to be Nobody Know's The Trouble I've Seen by Louis Armstrong. The most embarrassing would be Hero by Enrique Iglesias.

Tell us three things about yourself most people wouldn't know:
Bethany:
1. I am extremely deep. I think about life and death a lot and love philosophical and theological discussions.
2. I love and I mean love pandas with a hot fiery passion.
3. I have a crazy woman's jar collection. I love collecting jars of different shapes and sizes.

Jared:
1. I am extremely into philosophy, particularly the field of existentialism. I find the meaning of life not only one of the most important discussions to have but also one of the most interesting.
2. I really enjoy exercising.
3. I have quite an introverted personality. Although I am in a trio and have been in bands for the past six or seven years I still need to recharge from socialising by being by myself and watching a movie or writing music.

Laura-Lee:
1. I am getting married to the most amazing man in April!
2. I was training to become a primary school teacher at BTI before the X Factor.
3. And I absolutely love rhubarb! Actually all of Fare Thee Well does.

What other talents do you have? (other than music)
Bethany: I love art, and drama. Practically anything involving creativity. I also write songs like there's no tomorrow ... it is my passion. And I can also touch my nose with my tongue ... Haha!

Jared: Although it is within the field of music I also enjoy instrumental composition and audio production. I am also an avid gamer, however our parents disallowed gaming consoles in our home while we were growing up. In retrospect I am actually glad that they had this rule because I would've got very distracted from school and my music otherwise.

Laura-Lee: I love painting and drawing and pretty much anything crafty and creative. And I don't like to boast but I am a fantastic eater.

Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
Bethany: Probably my parents (Angela and Mark Stevenson). They are both incredible people and I feel so exceedingly blessed to have such exceptional parents.

Jared: I know it's a somewhat cheesy answer but it would be my parents. They have set such a great foundation in our lives and have strived to be the best parents they can be.

X Factor: What next for Fare Thee Well

01 Apr 04:48 AM

Laura-Lee: I would have to say the parents, because well they have had five children and have been through a heck of a lot and yet they are still the most loving, generous and forgiving parents ever!

What is the best thing about being from Rotorua?

Bethany: The people ... Most of the best people I have met in Rotorua, I have met through Lakes Ranch Kids Camp. And they are the best friends and mentors I could ask for.

Jared: The best thing about Rotorua is the people.

Laura-Lee: Rotorua is amazing! I love the people.

¦See Fare The Well on The X Factor at 7pm tonight on TV3.
