The old Rotorua West bowling club has new tenants - the Rotorua Parents Centre.
President of the centre Claire Armstrong said they decided to relocate because previously parents had to travel to four separate locations for different services, which led to a lot of confusion.
The Parents Centre will now be based
at the former Rotorua West bowling club in Kaimahi Place, Pukehangi.
Mrs Armstrong said some of the benefits of the new venue were free parking and childproof fencing.
Marketing manager Olga Milliken said she hoped the new location would make it easier for everyone and give the group an identity in the community.
"I'm hoping people will be more aware of what we do."
The centre offers a range of activities for parents and their children aged zero to five, pre and post pregnancy.
Ms Milliken said the music and movement class and play group were probably the most popular services offered.
"We have a play group coordinator now who organises everything which is great, and we all just help to pack up afterwards."
Other courses include Baby and You, which gives parents advice and tips on how to survive the first few months of parenthood, and the Hot Topics discussions.
The next Hot Topics, active movement, will be on August 15.
Activities are free for members or a gold coin donation for non-members but Ms Milliken said it was specifically a donation so if people couldn't afford that they were still welcome to attend.
She said the Parents Centre had a lot to offer local families.
"It's good support, good for the development of babies, fantastic for networking, and everyone needs something to do with their children so why not do it and make friends at the same time.
"It's lovely to meet people in the area ... and when you have a new baby you need some friends in a similar situation."
