As you may know, The Daily Post will soon change its weekday edition from an afternoon broadsheet format to a morning compact format, while our Saturday edition will become a morning paper.

This means the new-look paper will be delivered and on sale in the morning, bringing you local news and views at the start of your day.

The compact format is widely considered as easier to read, and the change reflects global and national trends.

We've decided a fresh new look deserves some fresh content to go with it, and I'll be letting you know more about that over the next 20 days.

Don't worry, your favourite features and columnists will still be here, but as we'll reveal over the next few weeks our plans include nearly 30 changes including at least one major change every day we think will help make The Daily Post your must-read morning paper.

One of these is a new liftout lifestyle section on Tuesdays called Good Life, bringing you the latest in food, wine, health, beauty and fashion features.

Keep an eye on this spot and check out our website for more news about the changes.
