The Murupara Stingers have found form at the right point in the season and their hot streak continued with a 58-30 win over Waikite Panthers.

The game, on Saturday, started a little slowly as both sets of shooters found their feet, but Murupara were still able to inch ahead and lead 11-7 after the first quarter.

At the start of the second quarter Murupara hit their straps, scoring 10 points to two to race out to a healthy lead. Waikite came back towards the end of the quarter, but trailed 30-15 at the end of the half.

The third quarter was Waikite's best as they went toe-to-toe with their opposition. The two sides scored 10 points each and Murupara led 40-25 with one quarter left to play.

Murupara turned on the after burners in the final quarter, racing away to a comfortable 58-30 victory. They now sit top of the table alongside Marist Magic with three wins from four games, while Waikite remain bottom and in search of a first win.
