Rotorua senior netball teams have entered the Championship round and Marist Magic continue to be the dominant force.

They beat Waikite Panthers 51-25 in a game which they had full control over from the get-go.

Both sides started slowly and Marist led 11-4 after the first quarter. However, their superior movement and communication began to tell in the second quarter as they shot out to a 23-11 lead at halftime.

Waikite worked hard in the second half, trying desperately to get back in the game, but the Marist defence was relentless. Marist led 36-19 after three quarters.

They kept the foot down in the final quarter to win 51-25 and cement their spot as the team to beat this season.
