Police have released the name of the man who died following a serious crash in Taupo.
He was 77-year-old Taupo man Michael John Wellington.
The crash happened in Acacia Bay on December 27.
Police extended their condolences to the man's friends and family.
The Serious Crash Unit was investigating.
