Dave Dobbyn will play at next month's Rotorua Seafood Festival, it was announced today.

The New Zealand music legend, along with his band, will headline the festival on Sunday January 29 during Auckland Anniversary Weekend at the Village Green.

General manager of Te Arawa Fisheries and festival host Shane Heremaia said he was excited to announce Dobbyn would be performing and contributing to the overall vibe and atmosphere for the day.

Local musicians Kelly Makiha and Krissie Knapp will also perform as well as other local artists yet to be announced.

Makiha is a highly sought after musician who has been a familiar face in the Rotorua area for the past 20 years. She works several nights a week as a soloist, in an acoustic duo, and with long-standing conference and corporate functions band Count Me In.

Knapp, who has performed both in New Zealand and Australia at a variety of functions has 25 years in the entertainment industry and has performed with some of New Zealand's finest entertainers.

Specialists from throughout the Bay of Plenty will be offering seafood delights from an array of food stalls.

Tickets are strictly limited and expected to sell out.
