Young detectives are needed to crack the code at the Rotorua Museum.
This holidays, kids can explore from the top of the museum's turrets to the basement baths to get their answers.
"We want kids to put their investigative techniques to good use and crack the code of the mysteryat the museum, while having some fun in the school holidays," said communications lead Jo Doherty.
Crack the Code has been designed for children to learn some fun facts about the objects and artworks on display.
Once they have solved all the clues, they will then enter their answers into a safe, which will only open if they have cracked the code correctly.
All successful detectives will go in the draw to win a prize pack of goodies.
Items the children may need to take a closer look at include New Zealand Tourism Posters, curious collections of Tony Fomison, the 2015 Rotorua Museum Art Awards and objects from Te Arawa Room.
