Murder-accused woman appears in Rotorua District Court

A woman jointly accused of murdering Nelson woman Tracey-Anne Harris in 2016 has appeared in Rotorua District Court.

The 30-year-old, who has been granted interim name suppression, appeared before Judge Maree Mackenzie this afternoon.

The reasons for her interim name suppression have been also been suppressed.

She jointly faces one murder charge with a 26-year-old man, who is due to appear in Nelson District Court on Monday.

She also faces a raft of supplying Class A and B drug charges.

Judge Mackenzie said the drug charges were not linked to the murder charge.

But Scott Mills, who was acting as lawyer for the woman, said there was some "interlinking factual narrative" in the summary of facts.

The woman was remanded in custody without plea to reappear on March 7 at Nelson High Court.

Harris' body was found in her Marlowe St home in Stoke on February 11, 2016.
