Fire crews from Maketū and Pukehina have extinguished a scrub fire.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said the crews were fighting a small grass fire on Old Coach Rd, near Pukehina.

There were no injuries reported and no property in danger of being damaged, he said.

The fire was about 30x30m and was extinguished "pretty quickly".
