Motorcyclist swiped by car suffers serious injuries

A 60-year-old motorcycle rider was taken to Waikato Hospital last night after being side swiped by a car.

A motorcyle rider who was side swiped by a car has suffered serious injuries to his lower leg.

The 60-year-old man was involved in a crash on Mihi Bridge, on State Highway 5, north of Taupo last night.

He was flown to Waikato Hospital by the Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue helicopter.
