Medical centre staff help make someone's Christmas

A local business hopes its box full of goodies will help to make Christmas for local families in need.

The Ranolf Medical Centre donated to the Rotorua Daily Post Salvation Army Foodbank Christmas Appeal last week.

Ranolf Medical Centre business manager Heather Lang said staff wanted to contribute in a way which could make somebody's day, or in this case could make their Christmas.

She said they had donated one food hamper so far and were working towards donating another one or two before Christmas.

Mrs Lang said the centre had donated to the appeal in previous years and would continue to do so in future years.

The centre donated non-perishable food items including pasta, flour, canned food items, soup, biscuits and packet drinks such as tea and coffee.

"Coming into the festive season, we all felt that this was a way we could contribute something to those in need in our community, and we hope that those who benefit from our contribution will make their day or make their Christmas, by being able to make meals from these items."

Make your donations of non-perishable food at the Rotorua Daily Post office, 1143 Hinemoa St, or the Salvation Army's Community Ministries, 1188 Amohia St.
