New Zealand MasterChef winners, Maketu sisters Kasey and Karena Bird, will launch their cookbook For the Love Of in Rotorua next week.

Fans and food lovers have the opportunity to attend the launch evening at Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar at Skyline Rotorua on Tuesday.

The experience includes a return gondola ride, signed copies of For the Love Of (RRP $59.99), the opportunity to mingle and talk with Kasey and Karena, along with a dining experience at Stratosfare - which includes the latest mussel dish designed by the sisters especially for the menu.

Skyline Rotorua general manager Bruce Thomasen said Skyline Rotorua had been working closely in partnership with Kasey and Karena since the $2 million renovation of Stratosfare Rotorua in November 2014.

"It's really special to share Stratosfare's ethos with Kasey and Karena - that is cooking the freshest ingredients and being friendly hosts in the spirit of manaakitanga (hospitality).

"They have created two mussel recipes using our tidal mussel tank in the last six months, which have quickly become menu favourites.

"With Skyline celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, it is the perfect time to collaborate again to create a special evening celebrating their new cookbook - we're really proud of their achievements."

For the Love Of is a self-written and published cookbook that is vibrant, stylish and filled with easy and delicious recipes. Paired with beautiful scenic shots of Maketu, the book highlights New Zealand's unique culture.

Kasey and Karena had a very clear vision for the cookbook, with the philosophy being: inspiration not intimidation, humble ingredients made special, and flavour is Queen.

"Food has always been at the heart of our family gatherings and it is something we closely associate with aroha. We want to share what is important to us through our love of food.

"We are so excited about our cookbook, we have put so much hard work in to the book and we can't wait to share it with everyone. We have tried to create something that is unique and special and we are very proud of the results.

"We are also excited to be launching it at Stratosfare. We love working with the team at Stratosfare, they have been so supportive and always make us feel at home. We would love to see you all there."

Kasey and Karena have divided the For the Love Of cookbook into six sections: For the love of atarangi, for the love of everyday favourites, for the love of taking it slow, for the love of whanau, for the love of glamming it up and finally, for the love of everything sweet.

The Rotorua launch will be held at Stratosfare on Tuesday at 5.30pm. Tickets are $89 per person and include a signed copy of For the Love Of, meet and greet opportunities, gondola passes and dinner at Stratosfare. For reservations email Rotorua@skyline.co.nz or phone (07) 347 0027.
