Man taken to hospital after incident outside Rotorua Airport

Emergency services attended an incident outside the Rotorua Airport about 4pm.

A police spokeswoman said a man had been lying on the side of the road in a serious condition.

Traffic was not blocked.

A St John spokeswoman said the man was transported to Rotorua Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

Police would not specify what had caused the injuries.
