Man seriously hurt while trail riding

A motorcyclist suffered a serious leg injury while trail riding this afternoon.

Due to the remote location of the incident the Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was called just after 2.30pm.

The man was flown to Waikato Hospital.
