A man was rescued from a Rotorua mountain bike track and flown to Middlemore Hospital yesterday.
A police spokesman said theman was halfway down a steep mountain bike track off Tarawera Rd, towards Lake Tikitapu.
A spokeswoman for St John said they took the seriously injured man to Rotorua Hospital
