A man was flown to hospital in a serious condition after his car went down a bank this morning.
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a remote road west of Turangi to help the man, whose car had left the road and crashed down a bank.
The rescuehelicopter met emergency services at the scene and the man was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries.
The helicopter was used due to the distance and time critical nature of the injuries.
