A man charged with the murder of his wife in Taupo at Easter will wait at least another six weeks before he pleads to the charge.
Simon Harvey Frank, 56, from Wellington, appeared in the High Court at Rotorua today via audio visual link.
He is charged with the murderof 58-year-old Petra Frank.
Justice Sarah Katz remanded Frank into the custody of the Henry Bennett Centre in Hamilton until August 9 to allow a medical specialist time to prepare a report.
Justice Katz said Frank should be in a position to plead to the charge once the report had been done.
