A man has a broken leg after he crashed his motorbike on a farm near Broadlands.
The Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue helicopter was dispatched to the farm, 55km south east of Rotorua, at approximately 9.30am today.
A Taupo-based ambulance crew was also on the scene with the man who had crashed off a motorbike on a farm track.
The 22-year-old suffered a broken leg but because of the accident location and the distance to the nearest hospital the best option was to airlift him out.
The man was flown to Rotorua Hospital in a comfortable condition.
