Whakatane police have arrested and charged an 18 year-old man for the murder of a 23 year -old Kawerau man following a suspicous death in Kawerau yesterday.
He will appear in the Whakatane District Court today.
His bail will be opposed and police are seeking no other people in relationto the enquiry at this stage,
A large team of police remain on the enquiry and are seeking any information from the public of any suspicious activity between Hill Street and Whittaker Street in Kawerau, between the hours of 11.00pm Tuesday, March 1 and 01.30am Wednesday, March 2.
