For local Margie Clerke it was all about the food and beverage stalls.
"It's my first time and I'm loving it."
New to this year's show is a range of seminars given by experts in building, real estate and the finance industries.
Those interested in buying or selling homes will be interested in the tips on offer.
For people working on projects or renovation, be it the house or garden, there are thousands of ideas to inspire.
Local resident Sheree May is building a house and checked out the show to see what was on offer.
Her sons however, had other ideas.
"They are enjoying the lollies and bouncy castle," she said.
Mere Te Kani, 6, was impressed by Andy's Marquee and Party Hire's colourful stall but was also keen to play on the bouncy castle in the free play area for children under-12 years.
Locals Owen and Phyllis Brysin were enjoying yesterday's smaller crowd before the busy weekend.
"It's good to have a good look at everything, we are enjoying it."
