I would have thought that when the extensions to the museum were done a few years ago at a cost of millions of dollars this sort of thing would have been looked at, after all it was at the same time that a lot of other buildings were checked and given a certain time to be upgraded.

The money that the council want to spend on upgrading the airport that was only done a few years ago when Rotorua was supposed to grow up and become an international airport should be used to do any repairs on the museum after all it is an icon and a tourist attraction.

I would dearly like to know whose responsibility it is to keep Te Ngae Rd clean? Someone, I presume, is being paid to mow the grass, clip the edges and pick up the rubbish along this, one of the main routes into our city.

When I moved here, approximately 12 years ago, I continually remarked on how beautiful and clean the city was and how proud, all I knew, were to sing its praises.

Sadly, now, none of this is possible when travelling along Te Ngae Rd.

A huge amount of plastic and paper have been left by the Iles Rd lights and worst of all, the contractor mows over all the paper and lets it all blow around in the wind.

I am very disappointed at this sad state of affairs for our once pristine and beautiful city.
