Re The Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre.
Such a mouthful. Why can it not be just Rotorua Performing Arts Centre on the new veranda when it gets replaced?

I gather the inner foyer will be top-notch and the portraits of Sir Howard Morrison and others who have made Rotorua as it is today will grace its walls. For example The Howard Morrison Quartet, Aunty Bea, Don Stafford, Michael Pilaar, etc, plus room for many more.

A real talking point it would be for all.

The reason I mention this is that the "centre" is for all of Rotorua and we all support it by attending the shows, so, therefore, in my thoughts, does not warrant the name of one person, no matter who.

Speedway spend welcome

Just like to send a big thank you to all the stock car people in Rotorua this month.

What a great bunch of people, and their huge spend in our bar on meals and drinks over the weekend was very welcome in these times with no international tourists.

Unlike many of Rotorua's over-hyped and under-performing events, this National Championships has been great, I am sure, for all accommodation, hospitality, and retail in our town.
