Re Te Manawa. Retailers in the CBD will heave a sigh of relief now that the roadworks are complete.

After three years, many small businesses have struggled to hold the line. Now that the "heart" has been successfully operated on and there is a greater flow of traffic, it is to be hoped these businesses will pick up.

The overall result is easy on the eye and inviting to both locals and visitors. Council is to be congratulated for its long term vision and planning. Great to see the farmers market again too.

Te reo distracting

I have respect for Tamati Coffey and his obvious desire to promote the Maori language, but for me Moving Out was also a turnoff, and I did just that.

I found the interspersing of the script with te reo was a distraction, interrupting the flow of the story which otherwise could have been interesting.
