Debates will go on between creationists and evolutionists forever (and good to see another writer adding his comment about the Bible in Friday's paper).
I may not agree with creationists' beliefs (e.g. dinosaurs around just a few thousand years ago - surely that would have been recorded in ancient writings?) but I will defend to my death the right of everyone to express their opinions on any subject and make absolute ninnies of themselves.
We are lucky to live in a country where we have the freedom to speak or write of our opinions on politics and religious or non-religious beliefs.
Let us use these columns to concentrate on matters of local importance: traffic, housing, drugs, roading, violence, rates and crime. And council follies and spending!
Now to try to convince a relative that NASA's Apollo Moon landing programme was not a hoax..
