In reply to Mike Muncasters' letter (Letters, Friday June 22) "We need to find the money for nurses".

Let's not blame Winston Peters giving "hundreds of millions of dollars in extra aid to the Pacific Islands".

What about the $60 million that National gave to the Hillary Clinton Foundation? Let's be fair here?

But I did agree fully nurses are worth a lot more.

Kind and thoughtful hospital staff

It was my misfortune to stay a few days in Taupo hospital the other week.

However, the staff there were great. It was like staying in a holiday camp where everyone is really kind and thoughtful.

The library was pretty good too: I read most of The Bourne Identity. The only problem was that I checked out before I'd finished it.

Broken promises over water deal

I am extremely wary of people who do not keep their promises — to me that is clear deceit and it smacks of untrustworthiness.

Labour has done just that. It came to power on such promises as not allowing overseas investors to buy New Zealand property, this has just been changed.

I know of many people who are not impressed with this kind of government, I would suggest that a hasty review be undertaken as soon as possible.
