Letters: Christmas lights trail impressive

On December 27 we decided to take a night drive to look at the Christmas lights.

Wow, we were so impressed with the quality of the light trail and the time and thought that homeowners had put into their displays.

My Dad from New Plymouth was very amazed at the lights.

We ran out of time to see them all and will go out again soon.

If you have not taken the time to have a look then I say go now, before you miss out.

A big thank you to all the entrants, you have done Rotorua proud.

And thanks to the Rotorua Daily Post for your trail list, this made it very easy for us to get around.

On the right track

Jackie Evans observes (Letters, Wednesday December 28) that candidates from Rotorua District Residents and Ratepayer were keen to hop on the "gravy train".

Had they done so they would have been responsive to the signals from the community and transformed it into a "Core Services Special" running along the right track.
