Electric bikes are a great way to travel, says one reader. Photo/File

Well I think the fossil-fuel car days are numbered just like the dinosaurs were all those years ago. Electric is the future, embrace it.

As for the traffic woes, stop moaning about it and do something about it yourself like get rid of your old dinosaur of a car and get an electric bicycle, even when the traffic is gridlocked there's always room for a bicycle to whip through.

I use mine every day Springfield to Ngongotaha for work and time travelling is about the same plus I enjoy the ride, there's nothing better for the soul than whipping past cars that are queuing up to get on a roundabout, I'm sure they must get brassed off when they see me breeze with ease through the roundabout and carry on on my way to work.

It's gratifying to see a healthy debate over origins in the Rotorua Daily Post: for too long the white-supremacist Darwinists have censored such discussions. But what's the point of talking about origins, anyway?

I suppose everybody wants to know where they came from: even X-Men had their origin story, as did Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman. However, there are more pertinent reasons for agreeing about our origins.

As Buzz Lightyear discovered, it is one thing to be saving the whole galaxy but quite another to be sucking down Darjeeling with Mrs Nesbit: If we are the pinnacle of evolution, we are heroes, legends, gods.

If we are creatures, though, then we're more like the sidekick than the superhero.

Maybe that's why origins stir up such vitriolic emotions.
