As well as the $6000 cheque to Kidney Health New Zealand, the Rotorua Singlespeed Society also gave $3000 to the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club.
The money was raised at this year's Anzac Singlespeed Championships in April.
A further $6000 was raised for the RSA.
"Because we ended up being abit more financially successful we had a bit left over for the trails," said the Rotorua Singlespeed Society's Paul Laing. "It's a nice balance."
Rotorua Mountain Bike Club president Gregg Brown said the money would get put back into the forest in the way of trails.
"There's a good relationship between all the clubs," he said.
The Singlespeed Championships involved around 200 riders from across New Zealand and Australia to battle for the right to be inked with the championship winners tattoo.
