The Rotorua Boys' High School rugby league team (pictured) has made history, winning their first game.
Rotorua Boys' High School defeated Southland Boys' High School 42-8 today during the first day of competition at the New Zealand Rugby League National Secondary School Tournament in Auckland.
The traditional rugby union school has never entered a rugby league competition before.
Principal Chris Grinter attended the first day of competition today and said it was a great occasion for the school.
Boys' High could not help but show their strong union background today, with the starting props wearing the number one and three jerseys.
