Netball players from Kawaha Point Primary School will stand out on the court this season for all the right reasons.

The school's team were presented with new team uniforms by the local ANZ branch manager during an assembly yesterday.

The passionate netballers had been playing in old team colours of gold and green - alongside two other schools in Rotorua who also play in those colours - leading to some confusion on the court.

Their ANZ Dream Delivery includes new uniforms in light blue and black, bibs, gear bag and balls.

Teacher Haylee Ellen said the school had many enthusiastic players but competing in their old colours had not been ideal when playing against other local schools.

"We're so pleased our players can now stand out and represent their school with pride in their smart new team uniform."

ANZ Rotorua branch manager Lisa Baty said ANZ was proud to support netball at all levels, from grassroots right up to the Silver Ferns.

"You are receiving this dream because we are really impressed by your passion and teamwork and we want you to be able to represent your school with pride in the same team colours," she told the assembly.

Grace Hemana, 10, said the new uniforms were nice and soft.

She was delighted with the new uniforms, and that instead of having both a skirt and T-shirt they now had cool ANZ dresses.

Kaya Ainsley, 10, said the new uniforms were comfortable and it would be easier to wear and change the bibs.

Sue McGregor, ANZ Head of Sponsorship said they were glad to be able to help out Kawaha Point Primary School.

"We hope it gives the young players a boost in confidence and pride on game days."

ANZ is fulfilling netball dreams across New Zealand this season as part of its Dream Deliveries programme, providing an opportunity for netballers of all ages and levels to have their netball dreams realised.

Applications for the season are open. Apply at www.anz.co.nz/dreambig.
