A person has received moderate injuries after a crash on State Highway 5 near Tapapa.
A police spokeswoman said the crash happened at the intersection of Whites Rd and State Highway 5 about 12.40pm.
She said ambulance and fire crews were also at the scene.
It was not known how many occupants were in the cars at this stage, she said.
