Rotorua police have released the name of the man who died in a Kuirau Park hot pool.

He was Kerry Hern, 67.

Mr Hern was recovered from the pool on Tuesday afternoon after a tourist raised the alarm.

In a statement released today, police said there were no suspicious circumstances and the death had been referred to the coroner.

Police were working with Mr Hern's family and the services of Victim Support have been offered to them.
