A section of State Highway 30 near Braemar Rd will be closed today while police investigate a crash that injured seven people and left one critically injured.
A 31-year-old Gisborne woman remains in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital's intensive care unit after the two-car crash last Friday.
The crashhappened on State Highway 30 near Braemar Rd just after 2pm and the critically injured patient was taken to Waikato Hospital by the Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter.
The road will be closed between 9.30am and 1pm and motorists can use a detour on State Highway 34 through Kawerau.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Serious Crash Unit and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet been spoken to.
