Helicopter called after person rolls quad bike near Whakatāne

A helicopter has been called after a person rolled a quad bike in Nukuhou, south of Whakatāne this morning.

A police spokesperson said police were notified by ambulance of the incident at a rural property at 8.05am.

Police did not report serious injuries.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said they had been called to the scene at 8.03am and a helicopter was travelling to the site.

The spokesperson could not say whether there were injuries.
