"I feel that this year's group have got amazing potential and already there's great personality and natural dance skill."
Hospice Rotorua funding and development manager Jan Morgan said Mrs Martin had done a great job partnering the dancers.
"We totally endorse her decision and wouldn't change a thing."
She said Mrs Martin's selection process was extremely thorough - taking into account age, height, personalities and technique to bring the best out of each competitor.
"Last year's competitors set the bar extremely high, but we are very confident that this year's group have that same commitment to the event and the cause."
Those keen to take part in this year's event can show off their moves at the public auditions on April 22.
The auditions will be held from 11am at the Novotel Rotorua. People need to register first with registration forms available from the Rotorua Daily Post, Smith City or www.rotoruahospice.co.nz.
