Art in the Park and The Fairy Picnic are combining this Sunday for one big festive family day out in the Government Gardens.
Both events were cancelled recently due to bad weather and organisers are praying for good weather, according to Kay Hall, acting manager for the Rotorua Arts Village.
The Fairy Day Picnic is being run from the Children's Art House at the gardens from noon until 2pm while Art in the Park starts at 10am.
"It's going to be exciting to join the two family orientated events. It will be a lovely collaboration to see the fairies at the art day. We hope families will come with their picnics. It will be very joyful and very positive," said Mrs Hall.
Art in the Park is hoping to include a children's art workshop at the day.
