Rotorua golfer Danny Lee has spoken about some of the changes he has made to his game of late, as he chases another top-10 finish on the PGA Tour.
Lee has recorded top-10 finishes in three of his last four starts, including his maiden PGA Tour victory at The GreenbrierClassic in July.
This morning, he teed off on his final round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational tournament in Ohio where he was chasing another good finish. Going into the final round, he was sitting in a share of 11th place at three-under par (65, 72, 70), six shots off leaders Justin Rose and Jim Furyk.
Lee held the lead at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational after the first round on Friday morning (NZT) but slipped down the leaderboard over the weekend.
After his first round he spoke to PGATour.com about some of the changes he had made to his game which had helped improve his form recently.
He said he had switched to a new Callaway driver, and was hitting the ball much straighter, and had been working on his swing with coach Drew Steckel.
"Swing wise, I always have a tendency to jump backwards and hang back at the impact. I was trying to fix that with my coach Drew and I'm doing a very good job with that and the results are showing very nicely." Lee has secured his place at the final major championship of the year, the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin starting this Friday.
