This weekend's weather bomb put paid to the last round of the WBOPCA reserve grade qualifying competitions.
That included Rotorua's Geyser City's first XI match up against Aquinas College at Ray Boord Park on Saturday in the Plate competition and Whakatane United's fixture against Sikh Sports in the Championship.
But Geyser City had already sealed a place in the WBOPCA Plate competition semifinal thanks to two previous good wins in recent consecutive weeks.
Next weekend Geyser City play for a place in the final when they face off against Tauranga Boys College at Blake Park, Tauranga while Greerton meet Katikati at Ferguson Park.
Meanwhile, the Championship will be fought out between two Western Bay sides and a team apiece from the Great Lakes region and the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
First Round winners Lake Taupo CC, finished the WBOPCA regular season with an unbeaten record and will host defending titleholders Te Puke at the Kaimanawa Reserve next Saturday.
The other semifinal sees Sikh Sports, who have been the big improver in the second half of the season, travel to the Eastern Bay of Plenty to take on Whakatane United.
And the Bowl contests, match-up Mount Maunganui with Cadets on Blake one, with Aquinas College playing McNaughton Trophy titleholders R&A Sangha on Fergusson three.
