Rotorua Lakes Council is offering a free bus to transport children to its Summer Splash Festival at Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake).

The free event tomorrow provides fun water and land-based activities from 10am to 2pm, including sausage sizzles, volleyball, kayaks and giant-sized water inflatables.

Project sponsor Valley Charters are providing transport from Rotorua Aquatic Centre (outdoor pool area) to Top 10 Holiday Park (Lake Tikitapu) at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am. There will also be stops en route at the Outdoorsman on Tarawera Road.

Return times from the holiday park to the aquatic centre are 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

Children under 14 years must be accompanied by a responsible person 18 years and over.
