Free tickets to this weekend's Bay of Plenty Steamers match against Taranaki in Rotorua will be up for grabs at the Rotorua Night Market on Thursday.

Bay Of Plenty Rugby mascots will be cruising the Tutanekai St market from 5.30pm giving away tickets to the Steamers opening Mitre 10 Cup Championship match which kicks off 7.35pm Saturday at the Rotorua International Stadium.

According to the Rotorua International Stadium Facebook page there are limited free tickets to give away so they urge people to get down to the night market early.

The Bay of Plenty secondary school rugby finals will also be played at the Rotorua International Sadium on Saturday.

If you can't get to the night market head to Ticketmaster New Zealand at the Energy Events Centre or online here to get tickets.
