A weekend "to celebrate children from around the world" is coming up at the start of next month.
Rotorua Children's Weekend is back with a range of community groups and organisations working alongside Rotorua Lakes Council staff for the event.
On Saturday, March 3, from 10am until 3pm, participants will follow a map around central Rotorua collecting stamps from each "country" on an event passport.
Three passport stamps will put participants in the draw to win from a prize pool.
The second of the family-friendly days will be the Redwoods Children's Day on Sunday, March 4, from 1.30pm until 4.30pm.
It will involve stories, arts, music and forest adventures in the Redwoods on Long Mile Rd.
Free activities include forest games, storytelling, a log dig, bucket fun, soundscapes, clay, paint, Taiko drumming, hut building, gymnastics, a young artists alfresco art exhibition, and the opportunity to be a star on the stage.
Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic.
